From connected to compliant in minutes
No complex setup. No professional services. Connect your Google Workspace and get your first risk report in under 5 minutes.
Process
Four steps to full visibility
Connect
OAuth connect — read-only, no passwords, takes under 2 minutes
- Click "Connect Google Workspace" and authenticate via Google OAuth
- ClearVew requests only the drive.readonly scope — no write access
- No passwords stored. No service credentials shared.
- Domain-Wide Delegation (DWD) is optional, required only for My Drive coverage
- Full setup completes in under 2 minutes for most orgs
Scan
Automated crawl — all Shared Drives, optionally My Drives
- ClearVew begins crawling all Shared Drives immediately after connect
- If DWD is configured, My Drives are included in the same scan
- Results begin appearing in your dashboard within minutes
- Most organizations see full results in under 5 minutes
- Set daily or weekly automated scan schedules to stay current
Review Findings
Risk-scored list, filter by High / Medium / Low
- Every finding is scored High, Medium, or Low based on share type and file type
- Filter your results by risk tier to focus on what matters
- Each finding shows: file name, owner, share type, and last accessed date
- See exactly who has access and whether they're internal or external
- Drill into any file for a full permission breakdown
Remediate
Select all High risk, click Fix — permissions revoked instantly
- Select findings by risk tier (e.g., all High risk) or individually
- Review a summary of permissions that will be revoked before proceeding
- Click Fix — ClearVew revokes permissions via the Google Drive API instantly
- Audit log is updated with actor, timestamp, and before/after state
- Re-scan to confirm all targeted permissions have been removed
Read-only access.
ClearVew uses the drive.readonly OAuth scope — we can scan but never modify files unless you explicitly trigger a remediation action. Your files are never touched, read, or stored. Only permission metadata is analyzed.
FAQ
Common questions
How long does a scan take?
Most organizations complete their first full scan in under 5 minutes. Very large enterprises with hundreds of thousands of files may take slightly longer, but scans run in the background so you can continue working while they complete.
Does it work with My Drives?
Yes — My Drive scanning requires Domain-Wide Delegation (DWD), which is a one-time Google Admin setup. It gives ClearVew read-only access to My Drives across your org via a service account. DWD is optional; Shared Drives are scanned without it.
What happens when I click Fix?
ClearVew calls the Google Drive API to revoke the selected permissions on your behalf. Each revocation is logged immediately to your audit trail with the actor, file, permission type, and timestamp. You can review a full summary of what will be removed before confirming.
